Breakfast

What’s Cooking?

Breakfast…what can be more satisfying than waking up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, to stretch out in bed and gingerly pick a juicy strawberry from our tray…

Just to get dressed and greeted by a set table with all the goodies! I feel always like a kid in the candy store! Major choices have to be made; do I want the hot steel cut oat with almond milk or cream? should I put nuts in it or just berries? Maybe both.

Or just get wild and have the Swiss Bircher muesli?

There is something about breakfast that brings out feelings of warmth and comfort.Reminds us of childhood weekend mornings and leisurely family feasts. We don’t seem to have enough time for it anymore, and who would swoon over generic hotel mornings?

We take breakfast seriously. We like to gather everyone around the breakfast table for an unhurried repast before everyone goes off to their various pursuits, but their is great indoor or outdoor nooks where we can serve you a very special private breakfast – even in your room . Let us know your preferred spot and we will make it happened!

There is no menu, we are too small for that but upon booking we will ask you to fill out a short questionnaire about items you like or dislike and about your special restrictions if any. After all what is worst than having the best breakfast that you cannot touch?

Blissfully we are located in the midst of one of the best agricultural area in Ontario, very special with its own flavours and aromas. In culinary term it called terroir – means “of the earth”. It is not just the wines, everything in a region has its own special flavour due to the differences of soil, watershed and micro-climate.We are here growing on limestone and sand mainly and our products and wines have a very different flavour than for example the wines around Niagara-On-The-Lake.

It would be a sin not to embrace all this wonderful fresh abundance in our daily life!

We love to visit and contact farms , buy straight from the source ,grow our own herbs, pick our own and cook with the freshest ingredients.

My hungarian roots are showing in some of my recipes ( strudel is a staple )and breakfast is a big feast in Hungary. We were traveling extensively and I was bringing new recipes from every trip. We love to share it with you!
